Bring your checkers home and off first

Classic backgammon on a wooden board. Roll the dice, race your 15 checkers round against your opponent's, bring them home and bear them off. Hit lone checkers, build points to block the way. Play the bot at four difficulties or two players on one phone.

How to play

Bring all 15 checkers into your home (the bottom left quarter), then bear them off. The first to finish wins; if the loser bore none off, it's a gammon.

  • On the barYour hit checker is on the bar: bring it back in through the other home before anything else moves.
  • Bearing offAll your checkers are home: start bearing off. A die takes off a checker from the point it names.
  • DoublesDoubles: you play that number four times.
  • ControlsTap Roll to throw the dice.
