Dodge the penalties, win tricks at trumps

The Turkish classic for four, also called Rıfkı. Twenty hands: each player names a trump game twice and a penalty game three times. Win tricks at trumps; in the penalty games keep away from tricks, hearts, kings and jacks, queens, the last two tricks or the king of hearts.

How to play

King lasts 20 hands. Before each hand, the player whose turn it is names a game. After 20 hands the highest total wins.

  • Follow suitPlay the suit on the table; the cards you can't play are dimmed.
  • Play a trumpNo card of that suit: throw a trump
  • Play a penalty cardNo card of that suit: throw a penalty card
  • A Koz handKoz: every trick you take is +50.
